The American Express Preferred Rewards Green Card is a credit option that is geared towards people who travel often. While it is similar to other American Express offerings, the card also has some distinguishing features that make it very client specific.
For example, while this card offers the flexibility of having no pre-set spending limit, it also requires the consumer to pay the bill in full from month to month. This makes keeping track of the charges simple, but it also takes away the convenience of carrying balances forward. The card allows consumers to earn points in the Membership Rewards program, and these points are typically gained at 1 point per every dollar spent on card purchases. These points never expire, and can be used on a wide variety of airlines, hotels, vacations, and shops. This makes saving points easy for those people who use the card often.
The card comes with an annual fee of $110, which includes a year end summary of charges and access to the Global Assist Plus Hotline. This is a tremendous service provided by American Express that is beneficial to those people who spend a lot of time on the road on business, and who need help with any type of assistance (legal, medical, financial, etc.).
The American Express Preferred Rewards Green Card is not recommended for those people who enjoy the features of a traditional credit card. However, it does represent a great option for business people looking to earn a wide variety of excellent travel rewards in a short amount of time.
